 Pilot House Distilling is Hiring for our new North Portland Tasting Room!

 

 

Pilot House Distilling is a craft distillery with a tasting room located in historic downtown Astoria and a second tasting room opening in Portland. We offer hand crafted, award winning spirits and are proud to say we brought the first canned cocktail to market in Oregon. 

 

 

           

Job Duties include (but not limited to):

  • Educate customers and proudly represent the company and our products

  • Enthusiastically cater to customers tasting in-house and sell products to go

  • Perform functions of tasting room sales associate as well as tasting room operations, including opening and closing duties

  • Multitask while handling tasting room and administration duties

  • Utilize POS system and cash management

  • Drive sales and create exceptional guest experiences

  • Manage and track inventory of spirits and retail merchandise

  • Adhere to OLCC laws and guidelines for serving and selling alcohol

  • Manage and monitor cash handling and deposits

  • Interest in and available for outside operations, such as events and training

Job Requirements:

  • Must be 21 years of age or older

  • Valid driver’s license, clean driving record and at times, able to drive to event/ training locations 

  • Prefer 2+ Years experience as a bartender, server or similar role

  • Demonstrated ability to be pro-active and take initiative

  • Self-motivated and able to act independently to solve problems as they occur

  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills, able to knowledgeably, clearly and enthusiastically promote our products to customers

  • Able to timely and clearly communicate with managers and co-workers (in-person, via text, e-mail and phone)

  • Dependable, trustworthy, and punctual

  • An eye for detail and the ability to run a safe and clean establishment

  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays

  • Have or able to get OLCC Service Permit & Food Handlers Card immediately upon hire

  • Must be able to lift and carry 35+ lbs

  • Most of your shift will be spent standing and walking, as well as bending, reaching, carrying, cleaning, etc.
